On 3 December 2012, [[St James's Palace]] announced that the [[Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge|Duchess]] was 12 weeks pregnant with the couple's first child. The announcement was made earlier in the pregnancy than is traditional due to her admission to hospital with [[hyperemesis gravidarum|severe morning sickness]].<ref>{{cite news|title = Royal pregnancy: Duchess leaves hospital|url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20626495|date=6 December 2012|accessdate=6 December 2012|work=BBC News}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|title=The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby|url=http://www.dukeandduchessofcambridge.org/news-and-diary/the-duke-and-duchess-of-cambridge-are-expecting-baby|date=3 December 2012|accessdate=6 December 2012|publisher=Clarence House}}</ref> |

== Marking the template as done == |

Buckingham Palace announced on 22 July 2013 that the Prince's [[territorial designation]] would be "Cambridge".<ref>[http://www.dukeandduchessofcambridge.org/news-and-diary/the-duchess-of-cambridge-has-been-delivered-of-son The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – The Duchess of Cambridge has been delivered of a son] Retrieved 23 July 2013</ref> This follows the precedent of having a newborn prince's title containing the same location as his father's title, as was the case for his father who was styled Prince William of Wales (son of Charles, Prince of Wales) prior to being granted the title [[Duke of Cambridge]] in 2011. |
|||
Previously, the template said to not link back to the template, but instead to put "tlf" in front of the template. ''<nowiki>{{edit semi-protected}}</nowiki>'' to ''<nowiki>{{tlf|edit semi-protected}}</nowiki>'' Now the article says to add an unnamed parameter which says "done" ''<nowiki>{{edit semi-protected|done}}</nowiki>'' Unfortunately, a recent edit broke this and dumped multiple "done" templates back into the edit requested category. I think the template should say to just change the template request into a link to the template or something, so that any further changes to the template won't again accidentally dump multiple pages back into the requested edit category. We don't need to compile a list of every page that has ever had a semi-protected edit request, which is basically what's happening by keeping an active template with a "done" parameter. On 11 December 1917, King [[George V]] restricted the style ''[[Royal Highness]]'' with the [[British prince|prince]]ly title to the children of the sovereign, the children of the sons of the sovereign, and the eldest living son of the eldest son of a [[Prince of Wales]].<ref>{{cite book|authorlink=Harold Nicolson|last=Nicolson|first=Sir Harold|title=King George the Fifth: His Life and Reign|url=http://archive.org/stream/kinggeorgethefif006892mbp/kinggeorgethefif006892mbp_djvu.txt |publisher=Constable and Co|location=London|year=1952|page=310}}</ref> As the eldest living son of the Duke of Cambridge, who is the eldest son of the Prince of Wales, Prince George is entitled under this rule to the princely dignity and style ''Royal Highness''. Any of his future siblings would have been styled ''Lord ''or ''Lady''; however, this was amended on 31 December 2012 by Queen Elizabeth II, who issued [[letters patent]] granting all children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales the princely title and style of ''Royal Highness''.<ref>{{London Gazette|issue=60384|startpage=213|date=8 January 2013}}</ref><ref>{{cite news|title=Royal baby girl 'would be princess'|url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20962102|date=9 January 2013|publisher=BBC News|accessdate=6 July 2013}}</ref> |

:Sorry, we are still discussing this over at [[Template talk:Edit protected]]. It was me that suggested using {{para|fulfilled|yes}} instead of just "done". But I didn't realise that "done" was already in use for the past 3 days. So I've made it so that either will work for now and when we have decided the best option, I'll go round and clean up. — Martin <small>([[User:MSGJ|MSGJ]] · [[User talk:MSGJ|talk]])</small> 21:39, 28 March 2011 (UTC) |

I would suggest implementing another change so that we can set the <code>fulfilled</code> param to "notdone" or "notnow" or "not a request" or something similar. It would be useful for requests like [http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AFriday_%28Rebecca_Black_song%29&action=historysubmit&diff=421444609&oldid=421430477 this] and [http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Talk%3AKongu_Vellalar&action=historysubmit&diff=421444523&oldid=421436991 this]. - Not done You've haven't said what you want done to the page. Inka888 23:31, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Marking the template as done
Previously, the template said to not link back to the template, but instead to put "tlf" in front of the template. {{edit semi-protected}} to {{tlf|edit semi-protected}} Now the article says to add an unnamed parameter which says "done" {{edit semi-protected|done}} Unfortunately, a recent edit broke this and dumped multiple "done" templates back into the edit requested category. - LOL! I noticed the same thing you did just now. Attempting to fix in the sandbox and testcase Subpages, but Unfortunately, I have to leave for work now, and will not be able to fix. – Ajltalk 21:37, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, we are still discussing this over at Template talk:Edit protected. It was me that suggested using
|fulfilled=yes
instead of just "done". But I didn't realise that "done" was already in use for the past 3 days. So I've made it so that either will work for now and when we have decided the best option, I'll go round and clean up. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:39, 28 March 2011 (UTC)- I noticed a lot (10-20) showed up in the edit requested category and I manually template linked the ones that I came across. Don't know if all of the "|done" cases got taken care of, since MSGJ re-edited the template. – Ajltalk 05:33, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Implement Change?
I would suggest implementing another change so that we can set the fulfilled
param to "notdone" or "notnow" or "not a request" or something similar. It would be useful for requests like this and this. If this has already been discussed, forgive me. – Ajltalk 06:44, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, that might be a good idea. May I suggest that we discuss it on Template talk:Edit protected to keep all the discussion in one place. In fact I'd like to merge these two templates some day. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:52, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
- Moving conversation there now. – Ajltalk 08:55, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
