This talk page may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion as a page that serves no purpose but to disparage or threaten its subject or some other entity. This includes libel, legal threats, material intended purely to harass or intimidate a person, or an article about a living person that is entirely negative in tone and unsourced, where there is no neutral version in the history to revert to. Just to let you know that I am user Arndale and am responsible for wiping blank my user page, where I had drafted an article for creation that I no longer needed. I concede it might have looked like vandalism, so apologies for making work. All the best now,

Hello there, apparently you've removed an addition I put on the bottom of the page about Cecily Neville. I wrote "Historian Amy Licence is currently writing a biography of Cecily due to be published in 2014." You've said that I did not provide a source. I know this is a fact because I am Amy Licence and I am writing the biography. What source do you need? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.223.227.249 (talk) 10:19, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Change in "Ontology"
Hi! The change I made in the article "ontology" was not a test. "Falsification" is a term more commonly related (as the wiktionary entry it links to in the article shows) to counterfeiting or intentionally making false assertions. What the article seems to refer to is to Popper's demarcation criteria, falsifiability — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.245.11.83 (talk) 12:00, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Materialscientist, I would like to discuss the addition of an external link to Impact investing definition and your removal of this external link. I do see how you may consider this inappropriate, however do note that this resource should not be neglected as it represents a very important trend which is adding value to the Impact investing sector. Databases such as this one are definitely an emerging trend, which I think is worth mentioning in the development of impact investing sphere. I do believe that it would be wise to include others as well.
Perhaps a better place for it would be under Impact Investment Networks. Mission markets for example is a very similar platform and one that is already included in the Encyclopedia. If you have a close look at the page you will see that it provides valuable resources in regards to impact investing sector, thus accelerating the adaptation and deal flow. http://www.maximpact.com/Home.aspx
Please let me know of your comments and the consideration to include this trend withing the impact investing definition, possibly under Impact investing Networks.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Impactful (talk • contribs) 13:12, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Jump to: navigation, search I know Monty Panesar and his family very well. Wikipedia is great institution but it should have factual and accurate information about individuals. Monty's likes Chivas Regal. He smokes. He projects himself as a True Sikh but this a front. In fact his father nnd mother are very similar. They project themselves as good Sikhs. They have the Guru Granth Sahib in their house and the father prays every day but they have meat and Alcohol in the house which is not permitted by Sikhism.
Monty's father informed me that it is every man's right to hit his wife. He proclaimed that he regularly hits his wife and went on to say that I probably must be hitting my wife. Are you aware that Monty Panesar was promoting a Luton based women's institution for battered wifes but his real beliefs are identical to his father. Ask Monty about his marriage. Check public records and you will know the reason why Monty does not deserve to play for England. If he is a true Sikh he should tell the truth.
In this age where abusive behaviour is looked down upon and society does does condone actions of public figures who put on a face but lead a different private life, it is only right that responsible individuals rightly bring out the truth. Monty Panesar is a cold calculating man. He once told me that his nickname is the Assassin. He actually told me that he presses the trigger and his bullet never misses his target. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.124.135.235 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.225.24.86 (talk) 23:16, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I deleted what I regard as equivalent to promotion of an ideology of hate
I suppose what I did was not good etiquette, but the comments on the talk page for that article were nothing but insulting and the assertions unbased. Look, as someone who recently spent 3 months living on the street and in homeless shelters I know that article is quite accurate. I've been seeing similar remarks in news comments. The person or persons writing the comments have an agenda of denying that efforts to help the homeless have any impact now or in the past, that all such efforts should cease. That's an extremely pernicious attitude to promote. I equate it with promotion of hate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.78.244.33 (talk) 04:44, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Nigdi page links issue
Hello Wikipedia team, Recently I have made changes in 'Nigdi' page, I have added information related to Citizen's Forum which is active in that area. Apart from info on garden, shopping, banks I think people should know citizen group active in their area.
I have added these two links 1. http://www.facebook.com/npcf44, 2. http://www.facebook.com/groups/nigdi.pradhikaran because our citizen group have only these valid, official contact links, and using these links user can easily contact us for their concern suggestion related to area
I appreciate Wikipedia's security check so no one can publish unnecessary, spam links but in our case this we are doing for benefit of citizens, we would be glad if Wikipedia helps us in our mission :) Thanks, Amol Deshpande Md.amol (talk) 14:40, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scona edits re mascot name and athletic chant
Dear Materialscientist, I am an earth scientist, Lorne LeClerc, PGeol, resident in Calgary and an ex-edmontonian and fortunate graduate of Scona in 1972. The school mascot is currently reported on this page as "the Lords", this is incorrect as this is the name of the school team. In the early 1970's the mascot was a lion by the name of "Gaylord the Lion". I also, as a graduate think that the very corny athletic chant of that period should be added to this site as it was quite memorable and probably dates from a much earlier period. I sat and heard this from the stands many many times over the three years I was there:
Oskie Wee, Wee! Oskie Whah, Whah! Come on Scona! Eat them Rah! Rah!
If you have any concerns or questions concerning the above, pls contact me at lorne_leclerc_geol@yahoo.ca

Post related to the foreign languages spoken in Saudi Arabia
I edited it based on the information present on a couple of wikipedia pages (which have legit sources). This information proves the reference of 'Ethnologue' wrong. I've posted that on the talk page of Saudi Arabia. Thing is, I'm new to editing on Wikipedia so I'm a bit slow and I don't know how to cite a reference properly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arjun.kandanat (talk • contribs) 14:19, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This newish editor is creating a lot of short articles that all cite American Elements.com. He also created the article on the CEO of this same company, Michael Silver (CEO). He does not know much chemistry, judging from his writing but he understands marketing. I am worried about WP:COI. One approach would be to replace the American Elements links with neutral links. What do you think? Just seems strange overall. --Smokefoot (talk) 00:37, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Calvinatlan seems to be one of those editors who came to advertise, but are constructive. I treat pages of big manufacturers, like American Elements.com, Sigma, etc., as more or less reliable, but always prefer academic ones instead. Materialscientist (talk) 00:45, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, you are probably correct that the net good content outweighs the distasteful marketing theme. I will check on the details, for example the main form of "Ir(acac)3", "Gd(acac)3" etc may not match the company's blurb, etc. --Smokefoot (talk) 12:51, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Hi Materialscientist and Smokefoot - Sorry if I've stepped on anyone's toes here. My academic interest is in materials science, and I've found the American Elements site to be the most comprehensive in terms of data for chemical compounds. If you would prefer that I diversify my sources, just let me know. --Calvinatlan (talk) 17:31, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deja Vu
I want to try to be as detailed as possible in my attempt to convey what happened to me. OK, a few years ago I had a dream. VERY shortly after I awoke, the incident that I had JUST dreamsd actually HAPPENED. Here is how I know this..One should look at this particular episode as sort of "hitting the lottery" in terms of the odds of the incident happening RIGHT THEN SHORTLY AFTER WAKING UP...SO SOON after the dream itself! I remember so vividly and immediately knowing of my discovery as soon as it happened! Normally, a person cannot determine exactly WHEN they felt like they had been there or done that before. If you think about it- it makes total sense. This is the reason why we feel, in a deja vu that we have experienced an incident prior, but cannot explain how nor why nor where...BECAUSE WE WERE ASLEEP! Scietists MUST learn of this! Please insert this or paraphrase into the deja vu article.

I'm sorry to bother you, but I believe there must be a misunderstanding. You see, I've never even visited this article "Ghulam Azam" or edited it before, so I really don't know what you're talking about. Orphaned non-free media (File:BalikaVadhu.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:BalikaVadhu.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 07:31, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Morever, it doesn't respect the rules because, it is short, there are not sources, etc...

Very confused
I got a message when I went to check out a page stating that you had restored content I deleted. I have only ever altered one page, and that was more than a year ago when I made a correction on a page regarding mythology and left a message longer than the correction explaining all the reasons why. I have never deleted content, unless it is possible to delete when in read mode. That one correction was the only time I've ever been in edit. I'm glad you restored whatever it was that was deleted, as I am certain that it was something vital to whatever page it was. I typically don't edit and I have no account because I have no intention of being an editor or contributor. I'm just here to read the content. Have a great day.
