You will maybe reach me better at my Wikidata talk page or at my Translatewiki talk page (where I’m not so often around); there the orange notification bar wasn’t taken away up to now, so messages can be seen at once there. I’m really hoping that won’t also be changed there in the future. If you also want any user to be able to see new messages again like before, then think about signing the petition to the WMF on handling of interface changes or take part at this discussion about the old visible notification bar or at this talk about obtrusive JavaScript (which is the case here).
