... so I won't link to the article feedback tool oversight request that I declined, but while it contained a presumably real name, there was no other identifying information in that post--no phone number, location, age, etc. that would have uniquely identified that person or allowed them to be contacted. If it'd had anything beyond what WAS there, then yes, I would probably have oversighted it. Cheers, [[User:Jclemens|Jclemens]] ([[User talk:Jclemens|talk]]) 04:34, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

Hey Pseudonymous Rex

We just deployed another VisualEditor release; bugs fixed include:
*Firefox 13/14 has been temporarily blacklisted, to avoid the insertion of broken links <nowiki>[[./that look like this]]</nowiki> ([[bugzilla:50720|50720]])
*Changing a reference in a template should no longer produce the bright red "you don't have a references block!" error ([[bugzilla:50423]])
*Notices are now shown if you're editing a protected or semi-protected page ([[bugzilla:50415]])
*The template inspector will no longer invite you to insert parameters that are already being used ([[bugzilla:50715|50715]])
*Same as above, but with aliases ([[bugzilla:50717|50717]])
*Parameter names in the template dialogue now word-wrap ([[bugzilla:50800|50800]])
*The link inspector will not show in the top left if you hit the return key while opening it ([[bugzilla:49941|49941]])
*Hitting return twice in the link editor will no longer introduce a new line that overwrites the link ([[bugzilla:51075|51075]])
*Oddly-named categories no longer cause corruption ([[bugzilla:50702|50702]])
*The toolbar no longer occasionally covers the cursor ([[bugzilla:48787|48787]])
*Changing the formatting of text no longer occasionally scrolls you upwards ([[bugzilla:50792|50792]])

Not specific bugs, but other things; cacheing is now improved, so people should stop seeing temporary breaking when the VisualEditor updates, and RTL support has received some patches. I hope this newsletter is helpful to people; I'll send out another one with the next deployment :). Thanks, [[User:Okeyes (WMF)|Okeyes (WMF)]] ([[User talk:Okeyes (WMF)|talk]]) 10:20, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Hey Pseudonymous Rex! Another set of patches :). Today we have:

*Required template parameters are now automatically added to new templates ([[bugzilla:50747|50747]])
*Templates with piped links now display correctly when you alter them ([[bugzilla:50801|50801]])
*If your edit token expires, you're now informed of it ([[bugzilla:50424|50424]]).
*:You still won't be able to save - that's due to be fixed on Monday :).

More on Monday, I suspect. Hope you have a good weekend :). I should also have some news about the IP launch pretty soon. Thanks, [[User:Okeyes (WMF)|Okeyes (WMF)]] ([[User talk:Okeyes (WMF)|talk]]) 13:29, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Hey Pseudonymous Rex; hope you had a decent weekend :). We've got a pile of patches, some of which went out on Monday, some yesterday:

* If you insert wikitext such as links or section headers, you get a notice in the top right corner (over the save button). It doesn't go away until click, though once dismissed you don't get another one that edit. ([[bugzilla:49820|49820]])
* If your edit token expires, VE fetches a new one for you so you can save. ([[bugzilla:50424|50424]])
* If the page is empty of content but does have something non-content (like a category or an HTML comment), VE no longer crashes on load - ([[bugzilla:50289|50289]])
* sub tags are no longer removed (([[bugzilla:49873|49873]])
* If you type at the end of links, they now extend
* Templates now only take a single click to insert
* Clear annotations clears links ([[bugzilla:50461|50461]])
* The link inspector stays open when you click to another item ([[bugzilla:50895|50895]])
* Typing after multi-byte characters no longer creats pawn icons ([[bugzilla:51140|51140]])
* Resizing thumbnails that have a default size set now works ([[bugzilla:50645|50645]])
* References made by tag:ref now display properly ([[bugzilla:50978]])
* The VE is integrated with the spam blacklist ([[bugzilla:50826|50826]])
* Feedbacl link goes to the right language ([[bugzilla:47730]])

There are a lot more improvements coming, but that's it for Monday and Tuesday. Thanks, [[User:Okeyes (WMF)|Okeyes (WMF)]] ([[User talk:Okeyes (WMF)|talk]]) 08:30, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi Pseydonymous. You may have seen it on the article's Talk page already, but I just wanted to make sure you knew I was a PR rep for Yelp, which is why I made my suggestion on the Talk page. If there's any way I can support your contributions to the page in a PR capacity, like providing hard-to-access sources, asking for input by subject-matter experts at the company, etc., let me know. I know Kiethbob would like input on a few things and creating a lead that summarizes the entire article (per WP:LEAD) is probably the biggest thing that's needed before it's ready for a Good Article Nomination. I'm around if there's any way I can help. [[User:CorporateM|CorporateM]] ([[User_talk:CorporateM|Talk]]) 05:03, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

::I made some copyedits and posted a few comments RE the lead. Thanks for chipping in! I think with the expanded lead, we should be just about done - or at least, as "done" as a Wikipedia page can get - knowing that it is an indefinite work-in-progress. Hey Pseudonymous Rex. The newest updates:
* Links now don't extend over space/punctuation/workbreaks when you type ([[bugzilla:51463]])
* Users with the "minoredit" preference set get working functionality ([[bugzilla:51515]])
* You can tab to buttons in dialogs, including the save dialog ([[bugzilla:50047]])
* We now show the <newarticletext> (or <newarticletextanon>) message as an edit notice ([[bugzilla:51459]])
* You can scroll dialog panels like in transclusions' templates' parameter listings ([[bugzilla:51739]])
* Templates that only create meta-data and no display content at all (like [[Template:Use dmy dates]]) now can't be deleted accidentally or deliberately, but still don't show up ([[bugzilla:51322]])
* FlaggedRevisions integration ([[bugzilla:49699]])
* Edit summary will get the section title pre-added if you launched from a section edit link ([[bugzilla:50872]])
Along with some miscellaneous language support fixes. That's all for today; as always, [[Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback|let us know if you spot more bugs]]. Thanks, [[User:Okeyes (WMF)|Okeyes (WMF)]] ([[User talk:Okeyes (WMF)|talk]]) 22:04, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Hayley Angel Holt

Links: Hayley Angel Holt (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Dear Sir, You have listed Hayley Angel Holt article for deletion. However Hayley is an established actress as shown in filmography on Wikipedia, IMDB and Spotlight. Please suggest possible sources/references for biography information other than the fact I am a representative of Hayley and can confirm its credibility. I hope you can help to avoid this deletion process. Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhycoco (talkcontribs) 23:42, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I searched for reliable sources to show that Holt meets the general notability guideline or the notability guideline for actors, but I couldn't find any. Self-published or user-generated content, such as that from Wikipedia, IMDB, and Spotlight, isn't considered a reliable source. Wikipedia requires that material be verifiable by reliable sources. Unfortunately, you confirming that material is correct doesn't pass that test. If she was the subject of substantial coverage in the news, magazines or journals, or if she's won any notable TV, film, or music awards, please provide evidence. That may indicate that she is notable and could be included. Otherwise, the article may still be deleted.
As you represent Holt, I recommend you look over the conflict of interest guideline. Please know that I'm not saying you've violated it or that you've done anything wrong. I'm pointing you to it because it's a good thing for anyone who represents an article's subject to read. Pseudonymous Rex (talk) 01:06, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. This may be the case as Hayley has had a change in surname since marriage last year. So a lot of websites will still show Hayley Angel Wardle, until they eventually update. Not too sure what to do in this case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhycoco (talkcontribs) 13:15, 1 July 2013

If you can find substantial coverage by reliable sources, please show that. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear earlier. I meant "Holt" to refer to the subject, not just when she's mentioned in sources as "Holt". If reliable sources refer to her by any name, please provide those sources. Pseudonymous Rex (talk) 20:39, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A cupcake for you!

Nice edits over at Yelp Inc. Thanks for your continued contributions! KeithbobTalk 20:28, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Keithbob, thank you very much. — Pseudonymous Rex (talk) 04:00, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Mmmmm... cupcakes. Hey, I went ahead and took a quick stab at a shorter lead based on Keithbob's feedback. It could probably still use a sentence about its size and expansion - for example the current lead cites its traffic volume. But it's certainly better than the current, which is all we can aim for is to keep making the article just a bit better with each edit. Mr. Bob said he would look at some of these sources next week, but I'm sure he could use help if you're interested. If there's some other way I can help, let me know.
