This set of numerals is used officially in Bangladesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Manipur, and Bihar. As the Bengali alphabet used in Bengali language and Meithei language, and Assamese alphabet used in Assamese language, shares the same written script (with the exception of three alphabetical characters), they also share a same numeral system.
