Janey King, née Morris (b. 1947 in Denbigh, Wales) is British journalist and writer of romance novels; she writes under the pseudonym of Rosie Thomas.[1] She was educated at Millfield and later studied at St Hilda's College, Oxford. She worked as a journalist and in publishing before writing full time.[1] She is one of only a few authors to have won twice the Romantic Novel of the Year Award by the Romantic Novelists' Association.[2]

She has published numerous novels since 1982,with several of them becoming top ten bestsellers; her books deal with the common themes of love and loss.[3] She won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award with her novel Sunrise in 1985 and in 2007 with her novel Iris and Ruby.[2]

She is a keen traveller and mountaineer,[4] and has competed in the Peking to Paris car rally.[4] She lives in London.
