== Mare Island refit ==

My Dad, Cmdr. F.J. Moran, Jr. USN, worked as the managing engineering officer at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard from 1975-1978 (when he retired), and the Patrick Henry was one of the projects he oversaw. She was there for overhaul and refueling during that time. But as I was only a kid, I hardly know any of the details. Got to tour the boat, though; one of the highlights of my childhood. Seriously.
