The film won awards in film festivals in Rotterdam, Namur, Bruxelles, Valladolid, Doha, Besançon, Montpellier,[3] but not in its own country, in the Marrakech film festival when it was in competition in February 2013.[4] The film has been selected as the Moroccan entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards.[5]
