Javed Bashir Khan (Urdu: جاوید بشیر خان; born on Aug 8, 1973) is a classical singer in Pakistan. He was the lead vocalist of the sufi classical band Mekaal Hasan Band among other collaborations and solo efforts. He was awarded Pride of Performance civil award on 14th Aug, 2012.

Music career

Javed Bashir Khan started his singing career at the age of 12 with his father.^[1] In 2000, he joined the sufi classical Band Mekaal Hasan Band as a lead vocalist.^[2] With them he released two albums, "Sampooran" and "Saptak" (Urdu: سپتک).

Javed started his solo career in 2010 with the release of his album "Subrang".^[3]

Collaborations

He worked with Sondre Bratland on the album "Dialouge".^[4]
