Non so ballare is the third solo studio album of the Italian sing-songwriter Annalisa, published on 14 February 2013 by label Warner Music Italy.[1][2]
About album
Non so ballare, available in preview by pre-ordering from 1 February 2013, only the digital platform iTunes, has been widely published on February 14, 2013 by label Warner Music Italy. The aforementioned digital version titled Non so ballare (Deluxe With Booklet) contains the same tracks and the digital booklet.[3] The album consists of eleven tracks[4] and lasting nearly 40 minutes contains the two proposed pieces to Sanremo Music Festival 2013, the title track Non so ballare, written and composed by Ermal Meta leader of La Fame di Camilla[5] and the opening track of the disc, and the first single extract, Scintille, written and composed by Dario Faini with Antonio Galbiati, the latter remained in the race at the Festival and finished ninth.[6] This song, that represented Italy in the sixth edition of International Song Contest: The Global Sound,[7] in November 2013 won the competiotion.[8] The second single extract, Alice e il blu, signed entirely by Dario Faini, was published on 12 April 2013.[9] This song rappresented Italy at the OGAE Song Contest[10] and in the same time, it's had nominated, like Best video at World Music Awards 2013.[11] Subsequently, the third single, A modo mio amo, edited in both text and in the music from Roberto Casalino, out June 24, 2013.[12]
The album sees as authors and composers Dario Faini, Antonio Galbiati, Fabio Campedelli, Roberto Casalino, Niccolò Verrienti, Andrea Amati and Emiliano Cecere, representing the historical authors of the singer; for the first time we find Ermal Meta.[13] Meta signature is in writing and composition in several songs, including the second song presented at Sanremo Music Festival 2013, as well as title track of the same album.[14] The track Tutta l'altra gente is an adaptation of a piece by write and composition of Annalisa, before his solo debut,[15] present in the SIAE with the title L’altra gente. The version on the album, also present in the same file, again sees the same Annalisa as the sole author of the text, while the music, are assigned to the same also with the collaboration of Giuseppe Perris, called Pino Perris. Perris, in the passage, he was mainly to treat harmony.[13][14]
In this work, the record singer has taken care of all the vocal arrangements, later also intervened Roberta Bacciolo. Davide Graziano, former drummer of the Africa United, studied both the artistic production and the arrangements. The arrangement of the strings instead of Daniel Bestonzo and Massimo Camarca. Fabrizio Argiolas was involved in the recording, the mixing, mastering and editing both the music and the voices of the disc with the help of Christian De Maestri.[14] As for the musicians, we find Alessandro Svampa, Massimo Camarca, Stefano Camarca, Daniel Bestonzo and the aforementioned David Graziano. Participate as a special guest: Claudio Broglio, Cecio Grano, Roberta Bacciolo, DJ Double S, Mr. T-bone and Manuel Zigante. Annalisa directs, for male voices, the chorus called Il Coro del Gigante in Io tu e noi.[14]
From pop rock to jazz footprint
The genus, as in his previous work, is mainly pop prevalent here in the variant pop rock,[14][16][17] but for the first time is characterized by multiple shades, mainly characterized by fingerprints jazz.[14][15] We find jazz atmosphere both in the song Scintille that in Io tu e noi, the latter characterized by a typical sound Jazz 40 years. The singer herself has stated that it regarded jazz, discovered, after a moment of interest for the metal, to the 20 years, so much for her to be the basis of music as the ballet classic it is for the dance.[15] Stylistically music in addition to jazz, we find both a musical imprint minimal representing music songwriting Tutta l'altra gente accompanied only by the classical guitar and shades vaguely folk in Alice e il blu. The minimal reappears in the music of the closing track, La prima volta, consisting of piano and cello.[14][15]
Issues
The concept album, trace various aspects of love from the melancholic to the ironic, the same representative for the singer's solo discography.[15] In this paper are addressed to the first time social issues such as the addiction and the consequent solitude in the single, Alice e il blue, the latter arising from the bondage of desires of the protagonist. Issues that take away from the reality Alice, excluding it from itself, with respect to the illusory and utopian world that was created mentally.[14] The piece comes with a story identical to that of stories, with a development and a moral at the end.[14] It also addressed the issue of social violence against women, the latter treaty with the proper precautions, the track Spara amore mio. The song emphasizes and warns of a blind love which often remain the woman for a purely feminine instinct, next to his executioner rather than away from it. Blind love that makes the woman is willing to accept and suffer anything rather than lose a loved one. In the song you can hear the voice of emergencies Usa, the emergency number 911.[14][15]
The singer herself says about
The record shows both sides of the coin with a "b-side" more emotional, intimate and interior. The awareness of its limitations is the thread that ties all the songs, even those of the "side" I deal with lightness, humor and precautions weighty themes such as addiction and the femicide.
The cover and the title
The cover was previewed on January 23, 2013, together with the titles of tracks that make up the disc, from the same singer on their official page Facebook. The cover has the face of Annalisa, with straight hair combed over his left shoulder wearing a white blouse fastened by a single button with a black bow tie and unbuttoned his right shoulder.[18]

The title refers to original song Non so ballare, presented by the singer in the Sanremo Music Festival 2013.[5]
