This was so well received by the Indian community here[where?] that a grand reception, held in his honour on February 10, was attended by over 2000 Indians. He held the positions of President, Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, Chairman The Indian School Bahrain 2002-2008, President Surya Bahrain. He is currently working as a senior engineer in the ministry of electricity and water of the Kingdom of Bahrain but had earlier served in the Kerala State Electricity Board before moving here.
