Leeds Grand Mosque viewed from the South-East

Leeds Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Leeds with a Friday congregation of 500–600.[1][2] It is located at 9 Woodsley Road, Hyde Park, Leeds, LS6 1SN West Yorkshire, England.

It was converted from a church in 1994, with funding from Saif Bin Muhammad Al-Nehayyan of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.[3] Its main hall provides a large open space which has been used for experiments in human echo-location.[4]

It is the home of the first Muslim Scout Group in Leeds.[5] 15 Scouts were invested at the launch in 2006.[6]

The mosque's imam is Muhammad Tahir.[2] It is practical in providing a translation of the sermon into English.[2]
