Govindpura is a village in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Milkha Singh, the Indian athlete who is also known as The Flying Sikh, was born there in 1935.[1] Govindpura was under the leadership and ownership of the Indian government prior to the event in which India and Pakistan dispersed. After that, Govindpura was officially on the side of Pakistan, therefore, it belonged to the latter.
