Ernesto Serra (Varallo Sesia, Province of Vercelli, 1860 - 1915) was an Italian painter.
Biography
Ernesto Serra was born on 24 March 1860 in Varallo in Val Sesia,[1] where he remained a resident. He was a genre, landscape and portrait painter.[2]
He exhibited Elda at the Italian Exposition in Turin in 1884 and Così? at the Primaverile Fiorentina (Florentine Spring) exposition in Florence in 1886. Among his other paintings are Lilia, Civetteria and Trastulli materni, which he exhibited at the 1887 National Artistic Exposition of Venice.[2] From 1888 until 1895 he lived in Paris where he painted Maura pienserosa and Visione.[3] In 1897 he exposed at the Biennale di Venezia and in 1902 with Fiori d'aprile at the Esposizione Quadriennale di Belle Arte in Turin.[1][3]
