Liedson da Silva Muniz, known simply as Liedson, (born December 17 1977 in Valença (Bahia)) is a Brazilian football (soccer) player. He plays for Sporting Clube de Portugal, in the Portuguese SuperLiga. Heights 1.75m; weights 63Kg.

He plays as a forward. His most known caracteristic is the ability to score many goals and commitment to the game. He is a clinic striker, known to Sporting fans as "levezinho".

Before being signed by Sporting, Liedson played only in Brazil. In the 2004/05 season, he was the top scorer in the SuperLiga, scoring 25 goals.

He is considered by many as the greatest striker in Sporting since the early performances of Jorge Cadete and the club's top trademark since Luis Figo and Ricardo Sá Pinto.

In the season 2005/2006, Liedson was the 2nd top SuperLiga scorer, scoring 15 goals, played 31 games (28 of which were completed) with an impressive mark of 2899 minutes played.

He is also considered by football fans as the best striker in portuguese football.

  • In his first season in Sporting, his jersey had the 'S' in his name horizontally flipped. This was due to an error, but Liedson himself accepted to keep it that way as a "trademark".
