Speedy deletion nomination of Kilbride, County Wicklow

Hello Killimordaly,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kilbride, County Wicklow for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. EzPz (talk) 03:42, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Two Kilbrides in Co. Wicklow

As you noted in your Teahouse question, it appears that there are two Kilbrides in the county (with the other one being at 52°55′19″N 6°06′47″W / 52.922°N 6.113°W / 52.922; -6.113). Both are listed at County Wicklow#Towns and villages, one as Kilbride and the other (the one you've written an article about) as Manor Kilbride. I changed the redirect at Manor Kilbride to point to your article, so now there are two different entries in the "Towns and villages" list that link to your article. This seems unsatisfactory. Is there some title you could move your article to that would distiguish the place from the other Kilbride? (There would need to be two entries on the Kilbride disambiguation page as well, rather than the current single entry.) I'm afraid I don't know enough about the administrative divisions of the RoI to suggest how the places might be effectively distinguished from each other. Might parish names work? Or simply "east County Wicklow" and "west County Wicklow"? (I can't find any Ireland-specific naming guidelines, but ways to deal with such problems in UK articles are suggested at WP:UKPLACE.) Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Opting in to VisualEditor

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:20, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
