Mark Andrew Beck (born 2 February 1994) is an English-born Scottish footballer who plays as a forward for Carlisle United in Football League One. Beck represents Scotland at U-21 level due to his grandfather's Scottish heritage making him eligible to play.

Career

Beck started his career in the youth team of Carlisle United and signed a two-year apprenticeship in the summer of 2010. In March 2012, he joined Conference North side Workington on a one-month loan for work experience.[3] He made his debut on 25 March in a 1–0 win over Harrogate Town, coming on as a substitute for Gareth Arnison.[4] He scored the equalising goal for the Reds in a 1–1 draw with Droylsden.[5] Beck made his professional debut for Carlisle on 14 April, in a 1–0 defeat to Charlton Athletic, coming on as a substitute for Tom Taiwo.[6] On 19 April 2012, Beck was offered a one-year professional contract.[7] He scored his first goal for the club on 28 August 2012 in a 2–1 win against Ipswich Town in the League Cup.[8]

On 19 January 2012. Mark received a call up to the Scotland Under 19's squad.[9] On the same day he made his international debut and scored his first international goal in a friendly game against Sweden Under 19.[10]
