Charles W. Schwartz ( - 1991) was a wildlife artist who illustrated A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold.[1]

Early life and education

He received his AB in zoology from the University of Missouri in 1938, his MA in wildlife two years later and joined the Missouri Department of Conservation where he worked for thirty-nine years.

Career

With his wife Libby he wrote several books and made several films on the topic of the wildlife of Missouri.
