The MetroHealth System is a non-profit, county operated, health care system located in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1837 as City Hospital,[1] The MetroHealth system is the safety net hospital for the residents of the city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County. It is one of the three major health care systems in Cleveland, Ohio along with Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland.

In 1985, Dr. Richard Fratianne, established Metro's burn unit to help burn victims recover from their trauma. Metro is a Level I trauma center for Northeast Ohio. Many burn and trauma victims are transferred to Metro for this kind of treatment.
In the 1990s MetroHealth expanded its Scranton Main Campus with new Medical offices, parking areas, and renovated its tower complex.
MetroHealth has Clinics in:
- Asia Plaza, Cleveland's Chinatown district
- Broadway, Cleveland's Slavic Village district
- Traveller Clinic West 150th Street. This is where travelers get medical shots before they travel.
