Luke Robert Hemmings (born 16 of July 1996) is the lead vocals and guitarist of Australian pop-punk band 5 Seconds of Summer[1]. He first became known when he published videos of himself singing on youtube in 2011. Later, current members, Calum Hood and Michael Clifford joined his youtube channel where they began filming themselves singing covers of songs and posting them. In December of 2011,[2] drummer Ashton Irwin joined the band completing what is known today as 5 Seconds of Summer.
Since creating 5 Seconds of Summer, they have been on tour with One Direction[2], almost doubling their fanbase, created an EP called "Somewhere New"[3], and created their first ever single "She Looks So Perfect"[2]
