Shadow Falls: After Dark is an upcoming sequel series following the fantasy-themed novels, Shadow Falls, written by author C.C. Hunter. The series centers around 16 year-old teen Della Tsang, who must face new challenges that come with being vampire while on her quest to find her place in the world.
Two of the three planned novels are so far entitled, Reborn and Eternal. Reborn is confirmed to be released on May 20, 2014, while Eternal will be released later on October 28.
C.C. Hunter confirmed the continuation of the Shadow Falls series from the perspective of vampire Della Tsang.[1]
Plot
Reborn
Reborn is the title of an upcoming novel, following the events after Chosen at Nightfall. In this novel, Della Tsang will take the lead. The novel was originally to be released in April 15, 2014. However, the release date was later changed to May 20.
Return to the beloved world of Shadow Falls, a camp that teaches supernatural teens to harness their powers—and where a vampire named Della will discover who she’s meant to be.
For Della Tsang, Shadow Falls is not just a camp: it is home. As a vampire who's never fit in with her human family, it is the one place she can truly be herself. Eternal
Eternal is the title of an upcoming novel, following the events after Reborn. In this novel, Della Tsang will take the lead. The novel is expected to be released in October 2014.
All her life, Della's secret powers have made her feel separated from her human family. Now, she's where she belongs, at Shadow Falls. With the help of her best friends Kylie and Miranda, she’ll try to prove herself in the paranormal world as an investigator—all the while trying to figure out her own heart. Should she choose Chase, a powerful vampire with whom she shares a special bond? Or Steve, the hot shapeshifter whose kisses make her weak in the knees? When a person with dark connection to her past shows up, it’ll help her decide which guy to choose – and make her question everything she knows about herself.

Protagonists
- Della Tsang is the protagonist of Shadow Falls: After Dark. She is a newly-turned vampire with a stoic and headstrong attitude. She is best friends and roommates with Kylie and Miranda. She became a vampire after an encounter with Chan, which activated her vampire genes. After her transformation, her family is led to believe that she is doing drugs and is sent to Shadow Falls Camp for rehabilitation. She is also the main character of the spin-off stories - Turned at Dark and Saved at Sunrise.
- Steve is the shape-shifter that Della is romantically interested in. He has sandy-colored hair, and shows genuine interest in Della, who is constantly avoiding his attention due to her own heartbreak with ex-boyfriend Lee. After getting advice from Kylie, he decides to fight for Della's affection, much to her dismay.
- Chase is an upcoming new character, and a powerful vampire who forms a special bond with Della.
- Kylie Galen is the protagonist of the first Shadow Falls series. She is one of Della's best friends and roommate. Della finds herself able to talk openly to the chameleon because of her kindness.
- Lucas Parker is Kylie's werewolf boyfriend. He and Della don't get along too easily because of genuine hatred between vampires and werewolves. Other than being a student at Shadow Falls and Alpha of the local pack, he is also the newest member of the Werewolf Council.
- Miranda is a dyslexic witch, and Kylie's and Della's second best friend and roommate. Della and Miranda are known for their constantly bickering tensions and Kylie's having to interfere to keep them from eventually fighting each other physically. Although they don't seem to get along well, bickering is their way of communicating.
Support characters
- Holiday Brandon is the camp leader of Shadow Falls Camp. She is a fairy with the power to communicate with ghosts and influence emotions. She is currently pregnant and married to Burnett James, the vampire camp leader.
- Burnett James is an agent of the FRU and the newest camp leader after Holiday's previous partner, Sky Peacemaker, was removed from her position for betrayal. He is a hotheaded vampire who is attracted to Holiday, and always does his best to keep the camp and its inhabitants safe. Della is a fan of Burnett and tries to get on his good side in hopes of one day joining the FRU.
- Derek Lakes is a fairy student of Shadow Falls, with the gifts of animal communication, empathy and memory erasure. He was originally in love with Della's best friend, Kylie, but eventually moves on and falls in love with Jenny Yates.
- Jenny Yates is a chameleon and a newly enrolled student of Shadow Falls. She left home to find freedom and came to Shadow Falls. After the chameleon species were introduced to the supernatural world, she successfully enrolls the school. Though she has yet obtained her full powers, she has learned invisibility.
- Perry Gomez is Miranda's shape-shifter boyfriend.
- Chan is Della's cousin, who faked his death in France after he became a vampire. When he ran into Della by accident, her vampiric virus activated, which turned her into a vampire. Chan took care of her, but was very unsupportive with her decision to join Shadow Falls.
- Lee is Della's ex-boyfriend. Because of his strict upbringing, he was meant to marry a pure Chinese girl, but went against his mother's wishes to date Della, a part-Chinese. After Della became a vampire, he pushed her away because of her perpetually cold body temperature, and Della ended their relationship. He had since found a new Chinese girlfriend. They are currently engaged.
