Windows 8 Update 1 is an update that is expected to roll out for Microsoft Windows 8.1 in April 2014. Windows 8 Update 1 will improve UI usability, reduce licensing costs and cut down on system requirements.[1][2][3]
Hardware requirements
Windows 8.1 Update 1 will now support devices with 16GB of Hard Drive space and 1GB of RAM.
UI Improvements
Windows 8.1 Update 1 will add new UI improvements to Windows 8.1 such as Modern apps appearing in the taskbar, title bars on Modern apps and context menus appearing on tiles in the start screen.[4]
