There is no source or other evidence on the description page indicating that the logo is the official logo of the tournament, which means there is a possibility that it has been created or invented by the uploader. jfd34 (talk) 07:38, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is the official logo but without the silhouette of the batsman (otherwise it would not be in PD) and the sponsors, "arise india and cycle-pure agarbathies". Keeping in mind that Wikipedia is not for promotion they have been duly omitted.

I have requested a move for the title of the file clearing any confusion whatsoever as also requesting that the nominator should have made a google search instead instead of sticking the tag. —Soham (talk) 11:02, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Original logos which are completely text are acceptable (such as File:Sony logo.svg), but there is nothing written in Wikipedia:Logos about modifying copyrighted logos so that they are eligible to be {{PD-logo}}, and such modifications can be misleading and could be seen by the logo's authors as a copyright or trademark violation. In addition to the changes mentioned above, the cricket ball has also been changed to a solid red circle. If the logo should be used, it should be the full one (possibly without the sponsor logo at the bottom, as it is not considered to be part of the main logo) under fair use, if it complies with the non-free content criteria, otherwise it should not be used at all. jfd34 (talk) 07:03, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This file should be kept as per Soham that logo sounded promoting sponsors but silhouette of the batsman should have been kept as it is part of the logo, only sponsors's logos/text should be removed. UBS talk 19:47, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is no critical commentary that requires this image and omitting it would not be detrimental to the readers understanding of the subject matter.
