"Thank U Very Much" (stylized as "THANK U VERY MUCH") is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Bestie. It was released on February 28, 2014 by YNB Entertainment as the group's third digital single. A snippet of "Thank U Very Much" was televised during South Korea's various music shows a week before its full release, announcing the group's upcoming promotional cycle which began on the February 27, 2014 broadcast of M! Countdown.
The song was written and produced by Duble Sidekick, with additional arrangement by Radio Galaxi.[1] Musically, "Thank U Very Much" is a mid-tempo dance-pop song that draws influences from 1980s power R&B, containing a 1970s-sounding guitar riff and classical strings.[2]
While critical reception towards the song were positive, it received moderate success in South Korea, peaking at number 53 on the Gaon charts and number 74 on the Billboard Korea K-pop Hot 100, making it their best ranking single since their debut.
Promotion
The group released their first set of teaser photos for the single on February 21, 2014.[3]
Commercial performance
The single debuted at number 118 on the Gaon weekly Digital chart,[4] selling 19,116 copies in its first week.[5] On the Billboard Korea K-pop Hot 100, "Thank U Very Much" debuted at position 74 on the issue dated March 5, 2014.[6]
