Orikasa Station opened on 10 November 1936. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the [[privatization]] of the [[Japan National Railways]] (JNR) on April 1, 1987. The station was washed away by the March 11, 2011 [[Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami]].

Orikasa Station (織笠駅, Orikasa-eki) is a JR East railway station located in Yamada, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The station was destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.[1] Operations at the site of the station have been replaced by a provisional Bus Rapid Transit line.
