Taco Mayo Restaurant is a Mexican-American fast food chain based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.[1]
The chain originated in Norman, Oklahoma in May 1978.[2] By 1980, Taco Mayo had expanded into franchising by establishing three stores in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Over the years, Taco Mayo has expanded from a single store in Norman, Oklahoma into a regional operation with franchise locations throughout Oklahoma, northern Texas, southern Kansas, and western Arkansas. Currently there are approximately 80, Taco Mayo locations. Taco Mayo is owned by Taco Mayo Franchise Systems, Inc. Their corporate offices are located in Oklahoma City.
