I'd like to suggest we take out either Grand Convergance, or Planet Alignment. They are basically the same card: they destroy all monsters on the field, and do 300 damage. If we do vote to take one off the list, it should be Planet Alignment, as Grand Convergance is the REAL card. |

I think Banner is the coolest proffeser... too bad he dies.... he was really good right? since he wanted jaden to win in the shadow duel to prepare himself right? anyone? can someone tell me if Ba nner is good or evil.
-In the Japanese version he's evil, and in the US version he's good. ComputerBox
-Daitokuji\Banner is not evil in the Japanese version; where did you get that idea?
Allow me to explain... Daitokuji contracted a fatal disease and wasted his health away during his life quest to create the legendary Philosopher's Stone, the ultimate goal of alchemy. However, using the arts of alchemy, he created a Homonculus, and transferred his soul to it. His reason for following Kagemaru as one of the Seven Stars is twofold - one, because Kagemaru supported his research (presumably through funding, considering Kagemaru is clearly wealthy), and because he believes that the power of the Sangenma can be used to create the Philosopher's Stone. His last words before "dying", however, seem to imply that he had been hoping for Juudai's victory, as he claims that Kagemaru's heart is clouded by darkness, and hopes that Juudai can stop the disaster that will ensue when the Sangenma are released.
What does this all add up to? Daitokuji's clearly not EVIL, but he's not necessarily perfectly good either - he DID lead Fubuki and the others into the Yami no Games, as well as seal Fubuki, Asuka, and Manjoume into the Emerald Tablet. Furthermore, his goals are somewhat selfish, in that at least later on he seeks the Philosopher's Stone to keep himself alive, and seems not to care (at first) about the consequences of the Sangenma being released if he receives what he seeks. However, he also goes on to guide Juudai to stop Kagemaru and the Genma, and it is clear that he is not mean-spirited or sadistic. In the end, it's really up to your definition of "good" and "evil", I suppose. ~ライケン
Same Card
I'd like to suggest we take out either Grand Convergance, or Planet Alignment. They are basically the same card: they destroy all monsters on the field, and do 300 damage. If we do vote to take one off the list, it should be Planet Alignment, as Grand Convergance is the REAL card.
Second Homonculus
If Banner's first Homonculus body is decaying or crumbling, why doesn't he create a second Homonculus instead of becoming a Shadow Rider and attempting to gain immortality?
