Re: SOTI Inc. Page Deletion
Hi Gene93k,
Thanks for your review of the SOTI Inc. page I've created.
I have tried to keep the content very factual and non-promotional, as my goal is not to create an advertisement on Wikipedia, but instead a basic company page. Could you let me know what you saw as advertorial? I will revise it immediately.
Today (7/9), I edited the content to remove what another user pointed out may sound promotional. I hope this assists keeping the page up.
I have tried following the same format as similar companies on the site: MobileIron and AirWatch.
Regarding significant articles, I want to provide the below coverage of SOTI from well respected journalists and publications. These articles are not reprinted press releases, and have editors tied to them.
The references in the page itself are not reprints of a press release. The InformationWeek piece is authored by a well respected journalist: Larry Seltzer
In addition, SOTI was the top scorer in a Network World review of Mobile Device Management vendors, available here: Network World - Top tools for BYOD management
I'd like to provide additional editorial features on the company and its solutions:
InformationWeek Education - Smartphones Hit Schools, MDM Vendors Don Thinking Caps
CMSwire - SOTI Releases MobiControl V10 to Manage Personal Devices in the Enterprise
eWeek - Soti Unveils MDM Platform MobiControl V10
Mobile Fanpage - Italian review of SOTI solution
Computing Canada - Last Year, We All Talked About a BYOD Problem, It's Time That We Acknowledge That Our Biggest Mobile Problems Are Now Under Control
InformationWeek BYTE - BYOD Tablets, Smartphones: About To 'Disrupt' The Classroom?
THE Journal - Westbury School District Deploys Mobile Device Management System
As time goes on, I'd like to expand the page to include more products, awards won, and additional information- but I wanted to start with a simple upload first.
I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you!
Remote Medical International
Hi Gene,
I'm a new user, and I'm hoping to get some guidance from you regarding the recent changes I made to the Remote Medical International page that you've cited for deletion. I do work for Remote Medical International, and I edited the site because the article has been inaccurate (and unmaintained) for several years. We are a completely different company than we were when the article was originally written, and we're just trying to make it accurate. The intent is not for self-promotion. Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated! I would hate to see the page deleted. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Removed untrue content on the ITU page
Hi there
There is untrue content on the ITU page. I tried to delete it but it was restored. I should have put a reason in. The reason for the deletion is untrue content - it must have been a disgruntled student who posted the info originally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdjager (talk • contribs) 23:46, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- The content is supported by the reference provided. In Wikipedia, we go by what reliable sources say about the subject. What ITU did between losing its accreditation and getting it back is sourced and relevant. If you still feel that the content should be removed, please discuss it on the article's talk page to get a consensus with the other editors. • Gene93k (talk) 01:02, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

Can you remove the television deletion sorting category? This is not an episode, it is a straight to video film along with all the rest. I doubt that they have even aired on television. I wouldn't mention it, but someone is saying that this isn't notable enough for a television episode. SL93 (talk) 19:19, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
- No problem. I see that you already removed the discussion from the list of TV-related debates. I've struck the listing from the AfD debate. • Gene93k (talk) 01:21, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- All of VeggieTales have appeared on broadcast television at one point in the US (and probably other countries) even though that was not their original distribution. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 01:44, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Gene. I also noticed the impressive amount of good work you do at AfD. Are you interested in becoming an admin? I don't think a nomination by myself alone would carry much weight, but I'd be glad to co-nom & support. Someone not using his real name (talk) 08:03, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for adding the information to the article. Why would you go through all the trouble of editing and even adding that table and then PROD The article? Are you into porn by the way? Herzlicheboy (talk) 17:29, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- The basic cleanup of the article was not that much work. The real effort went into checking out the article's references and searching for reliable source coverage. I added the project banners to the talk page to alert the Porn Project that the article was there. To answer your second question, I watch for porn-related articles that are added to or deleted from Wikipedia. • Gene93k (talk) 18:38, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Help requested
I have been working in a new workflow at WP:Article Incubator/Greenhouse. I could use some help in an area at which I know you are an expert. As I said at Wikipedia talk:Article Incubator/Greenhouse, it would help if someone were to identify Wikiprojects. If you would be willing to identify one or more relevant Wikiprojects, I can take care of the notifications. Please let me know. Thanks, Unscintillating (talk) 00:21, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
- Here are the two topics for which I need Wikiprojects right now:
- I could also use another Wikiproject for
- I have added project tags to the three articles but they are commented out. I will look at the other articles in the Greenhouse as time permits. Should I add live project tags to incubated articles? • Gene93k (talk) 01:31, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- Live project tags create categories that don't apply. I put them inside <nowiki>...</nowiki> tags so that I can read them without looking at the source, but without adding categories. Thanks, Unscintillating (talk) 01:50, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

What do you need for all the achievements he has done? He is well known in Wing Chun martial art field. Taiwan TV stations and news has talk about him many many times which there are proof on you tube and links to articles. Even TV from Germany and France has news and news paper articles about him. In France, town of Niece has his image etching on a granit stone display in public for his acheivement. Many of Taiwan , China news are all Chinese language on you tube. Pleasoe let me know what else do you needs to prove his acheivements. Also, his relationship with Yip Man and Yip Man's family is very important. Because his achievement is Yip Man lineage of Wing Chun. There are no photo of him and Yip Man, but consider back then, photagraphy is not popular. But Yip Man 's sons are still alive, the lineage of wing chun which written by Yip Chin-Yip Man's son, has indicate Lo Man Kam in his lineage. If you want more links to his news, articles we are more then happy to put all link on his page for you. Thank you. If you can tell me excectly what you want,I will be very appreciated.

What's up Gene my name's Dennis, there's an AFD about me (BLP) I need help & I can fill you in THX
Hi Gene, can you help me? I am not trying to do anything bad to Wikipedia, I believe DuffBeerForMe is erroneously pursuing an AFD. Even if it's a well-founded AFD, the only claim is a notability failure. The notability is in the records (someone in April of this year, I think User Yngvadottir or User Revent, made a "SEE ARCHIVE A" page at User:Phaedrx. Anyway, the notability was established like several times. that time, and a few more times it and other challenges have come up. I am a diligent honest fair wikipedian. These types of things upset me but I believe I am right in requesting help from you here as I have User Ged/GedUK and User Ellin something (sorry Ellin! Forgot the last name)...Gene I can tell you're a veteran wikpedian if this is beneath you I totally can see that, maybe you can refer a reliable person but please dont make the a yes-man type who wants to please me, I am not looking for a fight-by-might; I actually have reviewed the rules and regulations here from day one, as I respect wikipedia having almost gotten into the FBI while working a counterterrorism watchlist for big international banks. This to me seems waaaay before AFD's, COI, speedy deletes etc. I love wikipedia, I actually do belong we all checked it, the duff and User Pinkbeast misguided as i say, harrassment is what it really is, their actions I take to be fascist unfortunate side effects of the freedoms we enjoy such as editing wikipedia pages about Washington DC mass shootings or Islands that spring up during major Pakistani earthquakes. This is a ball for me as I am seriously ill with long-term illnesses and just went thru a devastating hurricane (Sandy) lost my house and doc says I got PTSD. I love wikipedia please help me! Thanks love, Dennis Tien Donaghy aka Phaedrx a barely notable but notable nonetheless (hey maybe they can name that solo musician guideline 5b or whatever the Phaedrx clause haha that'd be funny...) ;)Phaedrx (talk) 01:48, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Tagging deletion discussions
Hi, Gene93k,
I noticed that you have some experience tagging deletion discussions. I put in time at CfD and end up posting a lot of notices regarding Categories that are up for deletion, merging or renaming. Are the deletion sorting tags for AfDs put on their manually or by automation? I'd like to make use of these when relevant categories are under discussion.
Thanks for any help you can provide. Liz Read! Talk! 15:18, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

Ben Gurion High School
Hi, I came across Ben Gurion High School clicking the "random article" link last week. There was no info in the article (an issue since 2010) and high schools don't seem inherently notable so I nominated it for deletion. Unfortunately, I think I used the wrong process and you undid my nomination. I re-nominated and tried to follow the rules this time, and it looks like you (or your bot) helped me with the third step. So thanks. But because I am interested in learning more about the Wikipedia community and how to help out within the boundaries of the rules, can you not auto-undo my nomination without discussion? Or alternatively, if I have missed a step or am doing it wrong, can you suggest the correct way? Thanks in advance. Alphachimera (talk) 17:12, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

ARIA Trilogy by Geoff Nelder
Good day. Thank you for taking the trouble to consider my science fiction / medical mystery series. I believe you have an issue with the premise within it. I conjured up the notion of a what if. In this case what if amnesia is infectious, further that no one is immune, people lose memory in a retrograde fashion at the rate of a year's worth per week, and the cause is an alien adenovirus. I spent two years researching the topic of amnesia through two neurologists and I am a friend of the president of the British Alzheimer Society and discussed much with him on the effects of amnesia. This research revealsed there is no such condition in reality as infectious amnesia. It is unique to fiction. Further research shows it is unique to my novel. No one has used the concept of retrograde infectious amnesia in a book or film as far as I and my agent and many luminary science fiction writers understand.
I would be grateful if you would indicate exactly what your issue is with my fictionalised concept and so perhaps we might resolve the problem.
Best regards,

We have incorporated as Destination XL Group, Inc. as we have customers who are "googling" Destination XL--the Wiki Article appears with the Casual Male Retail Group name, part of our rebranding is to move away from the Casual Male Retail Group name and this is why I ask if the title of the article can be updated? I can also send an updated logo image if that is helpful?
I also noticed that there was a request for outside sources for the article and I have a few links that may be helpful:

Thank you, in advance, for your help! Kristine — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krssy215 (talk • contribs) 14:29, 24 March 2014 (UTC)
Speedy keep
Would it be possible to speedy keep UE Boom's AfD per WP:SK? The nominator is currently blocked for disruptive editing and his appeal has been denied. Otherwise it has been more than 7 days since the AfD was filed. Thank you. Dmatteng (talk) 11:18, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

There is simply no barnstar that would even match your contributions to the site. Still, everybody deserves a pat on the shoulder every now and then. So...pat pat. MezzoMezzo (talk) 07:08, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 9
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Streetly Academy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page West Midlands (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks
. . . for completing the Jynx Maze AFD nomination. Looks like my ISP decided to take a coffee break while I was posting it. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 18:50, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Destination XL Group Logo
Hello Gene93k,
First I wanted to thank you for updated the article name and I also wanted to give you the link to our updated URL. I'm thinking you probably tried to update and couldn't from our site. I had a version of the logo placed on our site that you can use to update the image logo, you can find it here: http://www.destinationxl.com/media/content/logo-dxl.jpg
Thank you again for your help! Krssy215 (talk)krssy215
