K. G. Markose is an Indian playback singer from Kerala.[1] Markose who is popular for rendering numerous Christian devotional songs and Mappila songs, has also sung in over 100 Malayalam films.[2]

Career

Markose began his music career in the period 1979-1980. Since then, he has sung more than 10000 Christian devotional songs and 5000 Mappila songs in Malayalam language. His started his playback singing career with the song Kannuppu maanam in the film Kelkatha shabdam directed by Balachandra Menon. Markose has done numerous stage shows in India and abroad.[2] The hit song 'Poomaaname' from the movie Nirakkoottu ia also from the voice of Markose. From there he sang many songs in Malayalam Films. Manthrikochamma Varunnunde from Godfather, Thalolam Poompaithale from Naadody, Puthan puthu kaalam from Kabooliwala are the most popular songs in the voice of Markose.
