John William Green (November 9, 1781 – February 4, 1834) was a lawyer and judge.

Early life and education

Born in Culpeper County, Virginia, Green was educated as a lawyer and then served in the war of 1812.

Political career

Green became one of the chancellors of the state and was elected a judge of the Court of Appeals in 1822. He held that position until his death.
