Maharajadhiraj Raja Rajeshwar Sawai Shri Marthand Rao Holkar VIII Bahadur[1] or Marthand Rao Holkar (1830-1849) was briefly Holkar Maharaja of Indore (1833 - 1834).
He was born in 1830, the eldest son of Shitmark Sardar. He was adopted in October 1833 by Gautama Bai Holkar and Krishna Bai Holkar, who were, respectively, the widow and mother of the deceased Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II.
