Is this true: "allegations of listening to Radio Moscow or reading Russian literature were considered sufficient grounds for imprisonment." - and, if it is, could we have a citation please. I really don't know either way, but this seems rather extreme for Tito. Crocodilicus 02:14, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Mila Jovovic grand father was imprisond by Tito on Goli otok, so he had to go to Soviet Union. Otherwise she wont be born?
- Actually it's true. My Grandfather went there for publishing a poem against Tito. 50 years later it was found that there was no proof at all that he wrote the poem itself... Veni 02:51, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
People killed
There is no information how many people died or were killed on Goli otok under Tito's regime.
How many were killed is irrelevant, the only thing we know is that he didn't kill enough!
We do not know that unfortunately. --Pockey 17:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
nonpolitical prisoners?
I've removed this: Non-political prisoners were also sent to the island. Some were sent to serve out simple criminal sentences.[1] The quoted source doesn't provide this information, as far as I can see - please correct me if I'm wrong.

- It was later on a normal max-security penitentiary... --DIREKTOR (TALK) 13:43, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Is there a valid source for that? (ie. the normal part) --Danares (talk) 10:31, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Split?
How about splitting the section about the prison into a separate article, like they did in hr.wiki? Something titled along the lines of Goli otok (labor camp) or Goli otok (prison camp)? Timbouctou 08:53, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
- Timbouctou, my thoughts too as I was reading the article. The prison, which is supposed to be a subtopic, gets more coverage in the article than the main topic anyway. GregorB (talk) 15:18, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
- I went ahead and renamed the article to focus on the prison. I don't think the Island is really notable at all. Unless you can find sources discussing it, then make a new article. But all that's really notable about the island is the prison. --Harizotoh9 (talk) 05:49, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
