Like a Version

Like a Version is a segment on the Australian radio station Triple J. It was created by Mel Bampton as part of the Mel in the Morning program. Currently the segment occurs every Friday morning on Triple J's Breakfast show, hosted by Matt Okine & Alex Dyson. It involves Australian and international artists playing live, acoustic versions of some of their favourite songs. This segment's popularity has led to, so far, the release of nine compilation CDs.

It is very much like Irish Today FM's Even Better Than the Real Thing and BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, allowing artists to promote their songs followed by a cover.

The title is a parody of "Like a Virgin".
