The Dualers are a busking duo consisting of brothers Si Cranstoun and Tyber Cranstoun from Croydon. They perform a unique blend of ska, soul and reggae both on the streets in South East England, and at their own concerts in clubs and theatres.

The brothers are very popular with all age groups in the areas they busk (Bromley, Canterbury, Croydon, Romford, Kingston) where they have gained a lot of support over the last 10 years.

History

Whilst busking on the streets, most Saturdays, they perform cover versions of the songs they grew up listening to. Recordings of these songs are available on CD as Vintage Versions Volume I and Vintage Versions Volume II.

With their cover CDs being bought by the public each weekend, and support growing in each town, The Dualers decided in 2004 that it was time to release their own material.

The fact that they had no record contract, agent or manager, and no one to distribute their material, put them at a slight disadvantage. On Sunday 24 October their debut single “Kiss On The Lips” entered the charts at number 21 due to many hours of local promotion by the duo, and the support of their growing army of fans. The single received no national coverage, or airplay, but stayed in the charts for a second week, at number 33.

Both The Dualers and their fans were eager for more, and in 2005 (with the help of Trust Management) they ploughed ahead with a second single. In November of that year "Truly Madly Deeply" was released through Gut records, and again made the top 30 in the national charts, entering at number 23.

On 11 November Channel 5 broadcast a news report and an interview with Si and Tyber about their achievements. This was followed a few weeks later by an appearance on the BBC's Children In Need.

The Dualers are currently working on their third single "Don't Go", due to be released on 12 June 2006 as well as the long awaited debut album "The Melting Pot", due for release on 3 July.
