As for the OMBAC history matching Wikipedia's article, I think this might be a case of OMBAC copying the Wikipedia article (which is allowed) versus the other way around. I did some checking with the Internet Wayback Machine and the club's history page was quite different back in 2013, while the material on the Wikipedia article was . However, I will have an admin that I know who specializes in copyright issues to look into the article history. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:37, 11 June 2014 (UTC) |

Hey thnxs a lot...this would mean that a club should not go to their posted Article and then copy and dump the info onto their website...As an Art Director I understand that this would then also infringe on their rights in reverse. <br /> |

Re: Could you explain the end of this note?
Re your message: Sure. Unfortunately, you were the victim of some random vandalism by a person who was trying to troll new editors on Wikipedia. At the time, they were using the account name ".wog-wog". They were leaving obscene welcome notices to new editors who happened to be editing at the time. You were one of those new editors. I deleted your user page along with all of the other pages that the troll created so that you wouldn't have to have that on your user page for the rest of your editing career. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:41, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Re: Your deletion of "Metropolis Rugby Club" Article
Re your message: I did not delete that draft that you created at User:Akabluey/Metropolis Rugby Club (though it was moved to Draft:Metropolis Rugby Club). You will need to discuss the deletion with the admin that did the deletion Jimfbleak (talk · contribs).
However, I see from the deletion log that it was deleted because of a copyright violation. Looking over the deletion version, it appears that you copied a lot of the content from the Metropolis Rugby Club's webpage. This you can not do as the Club holds the copyright rights to the content on their web page. Instead of copying the Club's web pages, you need to write the content of an article in your own words. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:35, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- I just saw the note you left at Draft talk:Metropolis Rugby Club. To answer your question, you can not footnote yourself. The Club owns the copyright to all of the material on their website according to the website itself. While you may have worked on the content, unless you can specifically grant copyright use from the Club, the material can not be used. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:41, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Re your message: Your draft was deleted purely because of the copyright issue. The deletion had nothing to do with anything related to notability. The notability guideline did not factor in as the copyright policy trumps all notability issues.
