Mastixia tetrandra is a species of plant in the Cornaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka where it is known as දියතලිය (diyathaliya) by local people.
Leaves
oval to lanceolate, acute base, caudate, acuminate to obtuse apex, resinous odour.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, pale, resinous; Wood - red, heavy, splitting; twigs numerous stout, puberulous.
Flowers
ovoid-oblong drupe, crowned with small calyx.
Ecology
rain forest subcanopy; at higher elevations, montane variety occupies forest canopy.
Uses
resin- incense.
