[[Yadavas]], [[Rajakas]], [[Nayibrahmins]], [[Upparas]], [[Chundu nayaks]], [[Muslim]]s, [[Yerukulas]], [[Yanadis]], [[Malas]] and [[Madigas]] were living in the village. Kammas owned thousands of acres of land. They presided over and decided all village affairs. The big shots among them included the families of Daggubati, Chaganti, Yerragadda, Pothini, Perni, Manda and Puvati, Ganga.

Karamchedu Massacre is a massacre which occurred in Karamchedu, Andhra Pradesh on 17 July 1985,[1] where madigas were killed by kamma caste in 1985.[2] Many people lost their lives in the incident[3][4]
