@93.33.230.209: I was about to self revert. It was by mistake when I was using Huggle. But please do not change the date on maintenance tags. They are an indication that the problem existed since that time. Census India

After nearly 80% of 2011 population updation except L M N P Q R S letters cities on List of cities and towns in India by population page, got to a critical point. The census India page has some abbreviations at this page. Can you tell me what is the full form of NPP which has been for many Uttar Pradesh cities. I changed the abbreviation of Nagar Panchayat from NP to NAC according to wiki article Nagar Panchayat (Notified Area Council) and placed NP = Nagar Parishad which according to Census site has only full meaning and no abbreviation. Karimnagar

Aa far as I know, a city page need not be updated with district level administration. MP's and MLA's may be ok, but Zilla Parishad chairmans (District councils)? do we require? I have reverted it, but again one more user added it. I think it is proper in Karimnagar district page. Need some info if we can place it.--Vin09 (talk) 14:25, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Nizamabad

I think you are from Karnataka as seen in your profile, so can you tell me by comparing your state, if the karnataka's official language is Kannada then it will be common for the city of Bangalore also. Right? So, in Nizamabad also I think if the newly formed state's official language is Telugu and Urdu as second language, it should also reflect it, one of the user quoted Nizamabad has more Muslim population so, the official language is Urdu for city and by district it is Telugu, I think it's not correct. @Vin09: I am from Karnataka . On the official language front, I think it is only that language recognized by the state. The text of the article was as neutral as possible and included the subject's own words without additional "biased" commentary. When a comedian repeatedly addresses an issue in public it is significant as it suggests an enduring aspect of his comedic perspective. Moreover, articles about living public figures and celebrities routinely include information regarding their personal lives (e.g. The Wikipedia article on Hugh Grant includes information regarding his legal troubles and prostitution related arrest though these have nothing to do with Grant's work as an actor).

This controversy has become a significant component of Metzger's public persona and work and deserves to be noted in the article in some form. (e.g. Extensive documentation of Donald Sterling's many controversial dealings in his Wikipedia article are considered worthwhile.) If an editor has an issue with the specific text consider rewriting it or truncating it and link back to the relevant sources I included rather than deleting it entirely.

I'd also like to suggest, with as much respect as possible, that there may be a significant gender bias regarding what is and is not worth including in a Wikipedia BLP article considering this: http://blog.wikimedia.org/2012/04/27/nine-out-of-ten-wikipedians-continue-to-be-men/. This is precisely the kind of amendment to an article that might be affected by the documented gender imbalance of Wikipedia editors though i'm sure you'll consider it with as little bias as humanly possible.

UIDAI

1) I corrected the obsolete information that Nandan Nilekani was STILL chairman of UIDAI. You reinserted it despite my edit summary. This is clearly not conducive to building a quality encylopedia.

2) The other text added by me is sourced, and closely follows the reliable source cited, while respecting NPOV's tenets. More importantly, my edit adds body to the corresponding statement in the lede section which was otherwise unsupported.

@Vin09: With regards to their edit on Bangalore, I have issued a warning. For Tirupati, some other editor has already removed the Tamil scripts and on Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, I have removed both the Telugu and Tamil scripts per WP:INDICSCRIPT. This is one of the main reasons why I am against inclusion of scripts in any Indian article. But unfortunately, the community says that it should only be removed from the lead and not infobox. I don't know how removing them from the lead, but retaining them in the infobox solves the issues that are related to script addition. 15:30, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

MIchael Hearst

Hi Leo,

I'm trying to clean up the wiki entry about me. It was a lot of random sentences in a rather loose structure, jumping around chronologically. There are also several citations missing, which I've fixed, as well as some updates. Realizing people often turn to this wiki page to read about me (instead of my actual website), I figure it should at least be as coherent and up to date as possible ...
