Albert Kai-Wing Ng, O.Ont (伍啟榮[2]) is a prominent graphic designer who lives and works in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is known as the “Father of Canadian graphic design accreditation.”[3]: 11
Albert Ng was born[1] and educated in Hong Kong and emigrated to Canada in 1974[4]. He was a past president of the Ontario chapter of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada,[3]: 11 [5] the founding president of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers,[3][5] and the vice-president of Icograda for 1995–1997[6]. He is an adjunct professor at York University.[7]
His notable commissions include the Missisauga Chinese Centre stamp in 2013 and other stamp designs for Canada Post.[8]
Albert Ng is the second graphic designer to be inducted into the Order of Ontario.[4]
