Lyriq Bent is a Canadian actor who is best known for portraying Lieutenant Daniel Rigg in the Saw films.
Life and career
Lyriq Bent was born in Jamaica and moved to Toronto, Canada when he was six years old.[1] He later attended Seneca College in North York, Ontario.[2] After graduating college with high honors, Lyriq originally began his career as a computer graphic technician. Lyriq's plans, however, were short lived as he decided to take up acting on a dare. Since then, he has had numerous film and television appearances.
Prior to landing a co-starring role in the drama series Angela's Eyes, Lyriq guest starred on the UPN series Kevin Hill opposite Taye Diggs, and USA Network's Kojak opposite Ving Rhames.
Lyriq's film credits include starring opposite Mark Wahlberg in the John Singleton film Four Brothers and Take the Lead with Antonio Banderas and Alfre Woodard. He also co-starred in the horror films Saw II and Saw III as Lieutenant Daniel Rigg, and starred as the central character in Saw IV.
