Natalie Gold (born August 17, 1976) is an American actress. She played Julia Harwell on Rubicon and has appeared in films like Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, I Don't Know How She Does It, and as the sister of Jake Gyllenhaal in Love & Other Drugs.[1]
Personal life
Natalie Gold was born and raised in Miami, Florida and studied theatre at New World School of the Arts and Emerson College.[2] [3]
Film and television
Gold made her film debut in 2004's Noise directed by Tony Spiridakis and next had small roles in Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007) directed by Sidney Lumet, The International with Naomi Watts and I Don't Know How She Does It with Sarah Jessica Parker. She played Dr. Helen Randall in Love & Other Drugs (2010) with Anne Hathaway and will appear as Clara in Birdman (2014) directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
She made her television debut on Without a Trace in 2005 and has since appeared in Law & Order and The Good Wife. She played Suzie on Guiding Light in 2007 and was a main castmember on the 2010 series Rubicon as Julia Harwell.
She portrayed Ruth Paine in the 2013 television film Killing Kennedy and had a recurring role on the series Alpha House as Katherine Sims. Gold recently appeared in The Americans as Leanne and also was featured in the first two episodes of the series The Leftovers as the Young Mother.
Theatre
Gold has performed often in Off-Broadway theatre. In 2002, she performed in the ensemble of Twelfth Night at The Public Theater. In 2007, she performed in the play Howard Katz and in 2008 she originated the role of Loretta in the play Language of Trees by Steven Levenson, both at the Roundabout Theatre Company. [4]
In 2009 she performed with Cynthia Nixon in Distracted by Lisa Loomer also at Roundabout.[5] In 2013, Gold played the role of Ellen in Scarcity by Lucy Thurber at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
On Broadway, Gold served as an understudy for the play Festen in 2006.
In 2011, she portrayed Beatrice Webb in the play Engaging Shaw at the Old Globe Theatre and in 2007 she played Rose in Brendan by Ronan Noone at the Huntington Theatre Company. [6]
