London Buses route 82 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between North Finchley and Victoria station, it is operated by Metroline.

History

Route 82 was introduced in 1986 to replace former route 2B between Baker Street & Golders Green station and the Sunday service of the former route 26. It ran from Victoria station to Golders Green station (Monday to Saturday), North Finchley (Monday - Saturday garage journeys) and Barnet Chesterfield Road (Sundays). The section between Barnet and North Finchley was withdrawn and replaced by diverting route 84A in 1991. It was extended at all times to North Finchley later in the same year.[1]

In 2001, brand new low floor Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs were introduced.[1] In 2002, brand new Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 2s were introduced.

In 2004, route 82 was retained by Metroline.[2] In March 2013, brand new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s were introduced.[3]
