Maika Monroe (born May 29, 1993) is an American actress and professional kiteboarder,[1] who made her acting debut in 2012 in the film At Any Price co-starring with Zac Efron.
Career
On April 3, 2012, Monroe signed up for Jason Reitman's drama film Labor Day starring Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet, an adaptation of the novel of the same name.[2] She played the role of Mandy, a farm girl who romances with a young man and eventually becomes his wife and the mother of his child.[3]
On June 26, 2013, Monroe joined the cast of the psychological thriller film The Guest as a lead actress opposite Dan Stevens.[4] The film is directed by Adam Wingard and the filming began in mid-July 2013 in New Mexico.[5]
On August 11, 2014, she joined Chloë Grace Moretz and Nick Robinson in the young adult alien invasion thriller film "The 5th Wave", based on the novel of same name directed by J Blakeson.[6]
