Clan Apis is a graphic novel created by Assistant Professor of Biology at Juniata College, Jay Hosler. It was originally published in 1998 as five comic books and was combined into a single graphic novel in 2000. Clan Apis is an illustrated and engaging tale of the life and times of a honey bee named Nyuki as told in comic book form. It is an elegant blend of humor, ingenious storytelling, and real science regarding honey bee biology, life in the hive, and natural history. This book will charm, entertain, and educate readers (and listeners) of all ages. 160 pages of bees, bugs, and biology available in hardcover, softcover, and ebook formats, published by Active Synapse.
