Christian Marie Serratos[1] (born September 21, 1990) is an American actress, who plays Rosita Espinosa in The Walking Dead. She is known for playing Angela Weber in The Twilight Saga series.
Early life
Serratos was born and raised in California.[1] Her mother, a jewelry designer is of Mexican descent; while her father is of Italian and Irish descent.[2][2] She began figure skating when she was three and continued competitively, saying, "My coaches were talking about the Olympics and it was really crazy. Now, I just do it for fun."[3][citation needed]
Career
Serratos' role in Twilight won her the "Young Supporting Actress" award in the Best Performance in a Feature Film category at the 30th Young Artist Awards. Serratos reprised the role in Twilight's sequels The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.[4] In 2011, she appeared in The Black Keys video for their song "Howlin' for You".[citation needed]
She ranked at number 65 on Maxim's "Hot 100" list for 2010.[5]
She plays Rosita Espinosa in the fourth season of AMC's series The Walking Dead, first appearing at the end of the 10th episode, "Inmates".[6]
Personal life
Serratos became a vegetarian. She has posed for a number of PETA campaigns promoting a vegan lifestyle.[7][8][9]
