I propose that [[Kollam Airport]] be merged into [[Asramam Maidan]]. I think that the content in the airport article can easily be explained in the context of the Maidan article, and the Maidan article is of a reasonable size that the merging of the airport will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Merger proposal
I propose that Kollam Airport be merged into Asramam Maidan. I think that the content in the airport article can easily be explained in the context of the Maidan article, and the Maidan article is of a reasonable size that the merging of the airport will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. - Comment @Petebutt: This "airport" would have classified as a landing ground in the 1930s and, as this news report points out, flights to this landing ground occurred once in two months! With no terminal or hangar on the grounds, the name Kollam Airport or even Aerodrome is misleading. As I see it, air services to the Kollam region were diverted to Trivandrum because of lack of aviation infrastructure at Asramam maidan. The entire "airport" article is already mentioned in the history section of the Maidan article with refs, et al and, IMO, does not deserve to be listed as a separate article, instead it can have a paragraph dedicated to itself in the Maidan Article. Even the failed attempt at starting a flight school at the maidan is already mentioned among other proposals in the maidan article. Also, the "airport" article has no scope for expansion.
