Gouttebarge played football in France between 1993 and 1997, among which for [[AJ Auxerre]], before to move to the Netherlands where he played for [[FC Volendam]] and [[FC Omniworld]] ( now Almere City FC ). Vincent Gouttebarge (born 16 August 1975, Vichy, France) is a French former professional footballer being nowadays a medical scientist.[1]

Professional career

During his professional career, Gouttebarge studied Human Movement Sciences at the University Blaise Pascal in Clermont - Ferrand, where he graduated in 2000 towards Exercise Physiology. From 2002, Gouttebarge combined his football career with a PhD research at Faculty of Medicine of the University of Amsterdam. Gouttebarge wrote a PhD thesis on the measurement quality of functional tests and got his PhD degree in late 2008.[2] At present time, Gouttebarge works as a medical scientist at the Academic Medical Center of Amsterdam, and is also Chief Medical Officer at the World Players' Union FIFPro.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
