Jamar Kasheef Loza (born 10 May 1994) is a Jamaican football player. He is a striker who currently plays for Norwich City.

Youth career

Loza was part of the Norwich City youth team who won the 2012-13 FA Youth Cup.

Career

Norwich City

Loza was named on the bench for Norwich's final Premier League game of the season against Arsenal on 11 May 2014, and made his debut as a 58th minute substitute for Alexander Tettey. Norwich lost the game 2-0 to confirm their relegation. On 24 June, Loza signed a two-year extension to his contract with the option of a further year.[1]

Loan moves

On 25 October 2013, Loza joined League One side Coventry City on loan for a month, with a view of gaining more experience.[2] He made his Coventry City debut on 2 November 2013 in a 3–0 win over Notts County, coming on to replace Callum Wilson after 81 minutes.[3]

Following this on 6 January 2014 he was sent out on loan again, this time to Leyton Orient.[4] The following day he made his debut for the club in the 2–0 victory at Shrewsbury Town, and provided an assist for Orient's first goal, scored by Moses Odubajo.[5]

Southend United

On 21 March 2014, Loza was loaned out to League Two side Southend United on an emergency basis. Loza made his first full appearance in Southend United's televised game against Oxford United on 24 March 2014. During this game Jamar set up the first goal, was the player taken down to win a penalty and scored spectacular individual goal.

On 26 April 2014, Loza returned to Norwich and was not allowed his loan to be extended as Norwich required him for first team duties.

International career

Loza was called up by Jamaica for a friendly to take place on 4 June 2014 in London against Egypt.[6] He made his debut as a substitute replacing Simon Dawkins in the 84th minute of the game.[7]
