Small Planet Airlines is a Lithuanian charter airline and was established in 2007. The airline is Based at Vilnius airport and operates charter flights and ad-hoc flights for various different companies inside and outside of Europe.
History
FlyLAL Charters was a company registered on 14 March 2007. In October 2008, the company received its AOC and Operating License to begin active passenger flight operations. In 2009, a subsidiary flyLAL Charter Eesti was registered with an aim to provide chartered flights from Estonia. In December 2009, a company flyLAL Charters PL was registered to implement flights from various airports in Poland. In 2010, flyLAL Charters was authorized to perform regular flights to Greece, Spain Italy and various other Countries. In July 2010, flyLAL Charters was re-branded with new brand name, Small Planet Airlines.
Statistics
In 2009 Small Planet Airlines flew to 75 destinations, carried 0.4 million passengers, and received 46 million Euros in revenues. In the year 2010, the airline served 0.4 million passengers, and reached over 46 million Euros in profit. In 2011 the airline carried 0.5 million passengers, revenues – 57 million Euros. In the year 2012 Small Planet Airlines transported nearly 0.7m passengers who traveled to more than 120 destinations. Revenues - more than 90 million Euros.
