Karnali Bridge, the asymmetric, single-tower, cable-stayed bridge is the longest of its type in Nepal and represents a unique international collaboration.[citation needed] A bridge spans in Karnali River between the Kailali District and Bardiya District of western Nepal. A cable-stayed single tower bridge was constructed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. Japan and inaugurated after six years of its constructing date by late Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

Location

The bridge lies in Mahendra Highway at Chisapani at the border of Kailali and Bardiya district. The bridge site is 500 km from the capital city of Kathmandu, and 25 km from the closest airport facilities in Tikapur. A unique design of the bridge and its beautiful location has made it one of the tourist attraction for domestic and international visitors.

A nearest city of Karnali Bridge is Chisapani which is one of the famous and beautiful town in Far-Western Region, Nepal. Tourists come here to view the bridge and explore Chisapani bazaar.
